The O&M Facility is an on-shore operations and maintenance base located in Eyemouth, constructed to serve the new off-shore wind turbine farm. The building includes offices, conference facilities, kitchens, toilets, changing rooms, lockers, control room, comms room, reception, circulation spaces, plantrooms, stores, gym and drying room. The warehouse includes workshop areas, stores, and a tool box talk area. External parts of the development include storage yard, car parking and loading areas.
ESDP were commissioned to provide Mechanical and Electrical Consultancy Services upto RIBA Stage 3 continuing with design review and site monitoring upto completion.

Due to its location the building is subject to a corrosive marine environment and materials were therefore carefully selected to provide a minimum 20 year design life.
The new facility was designed and constructed to incorporate renewable and low carbon technologies including solar photovoltaics, LED lighting and lighting controls.
A Building Management System (BMS) provides monitoring and control over the central ventilation plant, toilet extract system, and domestic hot water system, whilst also providing energy monitoring via networked electricity and water meters. The BMS also picks up fault indications from various oil interceptors located around the site along with the monitoring of a foul drainage pumping station.
