Old Coleham is a new 4 storey residential building with ground floor parking for residents. The apartment block consists of 43 apartments which are constructed on the first, second and third floors of the building. The third floor penthouse apartments provided with PV solar generation. Located in Shrewsbury, the building has been designed to alleviate risks from flooding.

ESDP completed full design duties including:

Mechanical Services
Mechanical Heat recovery within the individual apartments
Space heating via Electric Panel Heaters
Domestic hot & cold water to all appliances within the apartments
Landlords domestic water services including tank storage & boost pumps
Co-ordination exercises with steel and SIPS
Above Ground Foul Drainage design & co-ordination
Dry Riser co-ordination
Plantroom setting out & co-ordination.

Electrical Services
Provision of a new iDNO supply with 176kVa capacity
Landlord’s distribution boards and sub main cabling to serve the building
Landlord’s lighting installations, incorporating emergency lighting
Manual switching and contactor control of the new lighting installations
Landlord’s small power installations
Landlord’s fire alarm system, AOV windows and disabled refuge systems
Landlord’s cable containment systems comprising cable trays and trunking
Landlord’s CCTV and access control systems
EV charging outlets in ground floor car park
Lighting and cable calculations
Apartment distribution boards, sub main cabling, lighting installations, small power, smoke detection and cable containment systems

Other services included testing and commissioning of electrical installations and fire alarm / smoke detection installations.
