The Rogers Theatre project involved a complete refurbishment of the main auditorium with the capacity of the space increased to accommodate 300 strong audience, the balcony front was curved into an attractive sweep and the sightlines and acoustics significantly improved. The scheme introduced a new technical gantry level, upgrade of the AV/ sound/ stage lighting systems, new flexible staging with retractable seating on the ground floor level. A new heat pump air handling unit with under seat displacement ventilation and new heating and domestic water services were provided to sympathetically upgrade comfort.

In addition, a new Studio Theatre was constructed to the side of the existing building. With retractable walls this is a flexible space that can serve as a drama studio, performance venue, main foyer, meeting room and café for the students and patrons.
